Call for Artists for One of the Biggest Art Fairs in the Nation

If you live in Michigan or the Eastern U.S., you have likely heard of the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair (AASAF). This 3 day fair is the largest juried outdoor art fair in the nation, covers a 30-block area, artist awards total around $22,000 and artists make total sales over $2.3 million.

The deadline to apply for the show is February 15, 2025. See this link to get all the info you need to apply: https://www.zapplication.org/event-info.php?ID=12887 There is another option to apply a few days late but it will cost you a little more.

Are You Interested in Wholesale art Sales?

One of my favorite resources for art info is Sunshine Art Magazine. I just received this article and wanted to share it with you. It's packed full of ideas to increase sales through wholesale marketing. Take time to google some of the artist names in the article and find out more about how they do it.

Call for Entry

If you are looking for credentials on your artist resume, a great place to find juried shows is on CaFE (Call for Entry). This is also my favorite place to keep my portfolio. You can keep 200 photo files, 12 video files and 12 audio files to be used for applying for all kinds of exhibits, competitions and shows. The best thing about it is it's free and you can share your portfolio with anyone interested in your artwork.

Many of the CaFE shows are online which makes it super easy to get exhibited. Once accepted into a show, the show's credentials can go on your resume. If you win an award, even better! Remember that every time you get accepted into a juried competition or show of any kind, it's something to be proud of and should be added to your resume.

GR Festival of the Arts Shuts Down

This is disappointing news for many but maybe it's not so bad. Because of the positive energy that Festival of the Arts has created (since 1970!), we have many new events and many organizations promoting ethnic and arts centered exhibitions. Grand Rapids Michigan is well known for supporting the arts and it all started with the Calder purchase in 1969 and Festival of the Arts.
