News on Art
Hello Reader, UPDATE ON ARTPRIZEArtPrize is an annual international art competition and cultural event held in Grand Rapids, MI. ArtPrize is a 501c3 nonprofit. We fundraise year round to cover our entire operating budget, including the over $600,000 (!) awarded in prizes and distributed in grants to Artists, curators, and educators. Registration is open now until May 31st. The registration fee is higher this year at $65 but I believe the ArtPrize experience is well worth it. Here's the website: https://www.artprize.org/ WHAT'S UP WITH Ai?I have been hearing a lot about Artificial Intelligence and the pros and cons as it relates to art. There are many ways to use Ai when creating. I especially think it's useful for reproduction. But there's many questions about its use. Here's a website that shows several different ways to incorporate Ai in art processes: https://aiartists.org/ai-artist-founding-members REALISM IN ACRYLICS WORKSHOPRein Vanderhill will lead a workshop in Holland, Michigan on June 14-16.
