Attention Artists! Are you interested in collaborating with Artist Entrepreneurs (Artist-E) on a big ArtPrize exhibit this year? Artist-E wants to challenge artists to join us for a time-based project as an ArtPrize entry. We are in the process of brainstorming ideas for something artful and fun that will draw a large audience. We want artists of all styles and methods to join with us to produce something unique. If you have been an ArtPrize artist or ever thought about entering ArtPrize, this is a way to get involved without carrying all the work (and risk) yourself. As an Eleven-Time-ArtPrize-Artist, I know what it takes to be successful. The benefits are numerous like self promotion and lots of esteem building gratification. Winning top 25 status and selling my artwork has also been a big bonus. But it takes hard work and money; my ArtPrize projects have started at a cost of $2,000 and up. There will be a nominal fee to help pay for materials but we expect to raise donations to fund most of the project. We may even qualify for a grant from ArtPrize or land a cash prize! Did you know that ArtPrize gives out $600,000 in grants and prizes? If we do end up with a cash surplus when the dust settles, everyone that participates will get a fair share. Venues will be signing up during the month of March and artists can start signing up on March 31. We want to find those artists who are interested in collaborating with us by the start of April so we can begin to focus on concepts, designs, and finding the best venue.
